Dr Michael Rissik graduated in 2013 from Onderstepoort, Pretoria and has been working in Caledon and the Overberg region in mixed practice. He has moved through to Cape Town to be closer to family and friends. Dr Michael has seen many cases while in the Overberg and has a keen interest in small animal surgery and medicine and enjoys horse work.


Dr Andrew Rissik graduated in 2015 from Onderstepoort Veterinary faculty and spent 2016 completing his community service year in Gauteng, providing a diverse range of services to the emerging farmer sector of the East Rand. He moved down to Cape Town at the beginning of 2017 and began working at Ou Kaapse Vet in January of that year. He is interested in both domestic and production animals and outside of work is an avid reader and enjoyer of technology and the outdoors.


Michele is the early morning receptionist and has been with Ou Kaapse Vet since its inception in 2009. She is passionate and caring about all our patients we see. Michele has a keen interest in rehabilitating birds.


Olivia is the youngest member of the team and is the afternoon receptionist at Ou Kaapse Vet. Olivia is very sweet and caring and always willing to lend a hand.


Andrew Ou Kaapse Vet’s Kennel Hand/Veterinary Technician has also been with Ou Kaapse Vet since its inception. Andrew is instrumental in assisting with all procedures carried out at Ou Kaapse Vet and ensures your pet is well looked after and comfortable while he/she stays at the clinic.
